The preparations for our final exhibition of the MA Photography at the University of Brighton called Déjà Vu, curated by Joanna Lowry, are in full swing. I am going to show five photographs of my new series Drowning in a Sea of Infinite Meaning. The series looks at the sea’s capricious, uncontrollable and sweeping surface appearances and human encounters with it. On the verge of abstraction the work establishes a poetic space for the imagination that hints at the indefinite nature of the seas and our incapability to fathom it in its entirety.

The show opens on the 14th of September and closes on the 21st of September. Further information will follow closer to the opening of the show. Anyone who cannot make it to Brighton but would like to receive an exhibition catalogue, can send me an email. I’ll make sure you get one.
